Windows NT 4 Reskit - WinAT Tips

If you are trying to use the WinAT command scheduler to run programs that access a network drive or even some cases with SendKeys you might run into problems. While trying to automate a timeclock system that accessed a mapped drive and used sendkeys I kept receiving error messages. I found out the best thing to do was not to use WinAT at all. If you have installed IE4.0 or newer you should have the newer program Scheduled Tasks located in My Computer. If you are using WinAT and you open this program you will see all of your scheduled items listed. If you use this window to add your programs you are forced to specify a user to use when running the program. If you access a network drive you must specify a user.

These are just my opinions you don't have to take my advice if you don't want to!
