Windows 98 Toolbars

Windows 98 has brought about a nice new feature that allows you to create your own toolbars. A toolbar is just like the windows shortcut bar on the bottom left but you can place them anywhere you like. To create a toolbar make a directory someplace on your computer and place all of your most important shortcut's there. Now right click on the taskbar and move the mouse over Toolbar then select "New Toolbar" when the window opens up select the folder you created and then it will appear on the task bar. Now you can pull it off and dock it on the side of the screen. If you like you can also choose not to show text and have it auto hide so it does not take up space. Then to make it look the way you want it you can select large or small icons. I have an example picture to the right that shows a Toolbar with many icons on it without the Text Showing.
