I am still working on the next version, this time I have included some neat features not seen very often, I am making a custom menu that will allow you to import IE Favorites and hopefully Netscape Bookmarks.  Many of the bugs that were reported have been fixed, but I am not going to release this until I get the menu system complete.

5/30/2k

I am going to release another Beta version of IEQS today, just because it's beta does not mean it is bad so give it a try, the only thing I need to work on is the Automation section.  Everything else should work just fine.  More information and some new features are listed on the web page and in the help file.

5/29/2k

Well I was pissed off for a few hours, but I am coming down now and I've decided to hold off for more time to release the next version, It's coming along good but I want to change some more things.

5/28/2k

I put in a lot of work today, and all I have to show is the new automation system.  I'll have a new beta with this system soon.
Screenshots here.

Nothing new yet.  Is everyone having a fun weekend?

Update #2 version 1.6.50 Beta
I scrapped a couple ideas and thought of something so much better, so try out this new version it is a huge improvement if it works for everyone ;)  Many bugs have been squashed as well as the dumb workarounds I put in.  This is much better try it out.

5/25/2k

I have created a new feature which prevent auto start from working the first time when you run a new version.  I have a fix for IE only using 1 window and I think I might have a fix for Netscape, I still need to know if Netscape asks you to choose your profile or delay while loading plug-ins after the first time (when the second window opens up).  I fixed a few more bugs that have appeared over the many builds today.  I found another bug, I must have been sleeping when I was working on this because I forgot to add code to save URL's 13 - 24. this 5th release today has many new features from 1.6.1 but I am not sure if it works properly with everyone so please test it for me,  Someone has said that only 1 IE window opens up and then it just replaces the URL instead of making a new window so if you see this you can work around it by turning off "Reuse Windows to Launch Shortcuts".  I have created a button to remove all settings if you are having problems or just to uninstall.  I want you to understand something: Automation is not supposed to work with URL's 13 - 24 I just added the extra URL's because a few people needed that many.  I might add this later but for now it stays the way it is.  Documentation is being created to explain this program in detail, you will find what I have finished so far included with this new release.  Default browser support is included with this beta so please give feedback if you use Netscape / Other.  Custom Delays between each window is also included with this release.  I did not send out an email to the mailing list because this is a beta and I don't want to bother you with this.  I did not update the IEQS web page because I am not sure if this code works properly with everyone, so please try it out and send me problems / suggestions and fill up my mailbox.

5/24/2k

I am having trouble with this new idea so it will be a little longer.  The windows are not opening the right way (without sendkeys) so I will work on this today and try to get the new copy out.

5/23/2k

I just released a big update to IEQS this time I have changed the program once again to now support your Default browser, so if you use Opera, Netscape, or anything else  for your browser that is what will open up.  This release also fixes another Resize bug I found this time with the LESS button.  Days like yesterday are what make me want to do this for free. This site had 500+ impressions and 400+ were unique.  That kind of thing make me very happy   I have planned the next two releases already, first and most important will be the next release, I am going to get rid of the call to the .dll file and use the windows default web browser.  This means Netscape Support, and even Opera and who knows what else.. I will try to get this done today but I will not make promises I am unsure of.

5/22/2k

Approx 1am the latest version of IEQS was released(1.6).  I made some changes the Registry Tips section just to help out people who have never worked with the registry before.  I just released a new version (1.61) this is a big bug fix I found, if you choose No Delay URL's 13-24 would not open at all and 1-12 would open but with error's.

5/21/2k

Today I was not home all day again but enough with the excuses already I am staying up late tonight and getting this new version of IEQS out.  Some of the changes for this version are:  Much lower CPU usage, Support for 24 URL's, and colored URL boxes to let you know automation is turned on.

5/20/2k

Well I have to go to a birthday party tonight, and I was busy getting drunk last night so I didn't get a lot done.  I did work for 2 hours this morning but nothing is ready to be released yet.  If I come home tonight after this party I will probably do some more work.

5/19/2k

I am working on the next version of IEQS, it will increase the number of URL's to 24.  Should be all done and released by the end of the day.  Well plans change as always I ran into an old friend and decided to hang out so I won't have this done for 2 days.

5/18/2k

I did some work to the web design section, added some new cool stuff and redid the links at the bottom of the page.  I am still working on the next version of IEQS, it will include a few fixes to the automation system.  For instance: I am going to lock the mouse so you can't accidentally mess up the system (only if you use it).  I also improved the code so the CPU usage does not go up to 100% when it's waiting to open the next window.   I'll release it later today when I am sure it's good to go, but I might wait a little while and add a few more features.. It seems my mailing list is messed up.  You can still join the list but I can not send out messages for a few days.

5/17/2k

I have released version 1.5 today of IE Quick Start, this new version has a lot of changes.  No more need for IE location, now if you have Internet Explorer 4 or greater it will work no matter where it's installed.  I redid the setup portion of this program again now I have much more room for future development.  Automation was redone again to give you more control over what is done when the new windows open up.  I changed a lot more but it's been a few days so I forgot what else is new.

5/16/2k

I need beta testers for the next version it's about 2 days away but I want to be ready with a few people to test for me.  What I need is people who use non-English versions of Windows (9x, NT, 2k)  People who use Internet Explorer 4.x, and people who like to look for bugs.  Send a quick email to betatest@trublue.vr9.com   Thanks a lot !!

5/15/2k

I have released another update this time a bug fix for Password boxes. (v1.2.6)

As promised the update for IE Quick Start is done.  This new release is much larger than previous releases due to the Automation section I have included.  This lets you do things such as close Ok prompts, Close Password Prompts (if you have your password saved), and the other use of this would be to navigate through the site.  say for instance a web page makes you start at a front page to enter. (This site does it), you can count the Tab's it takes to hit the enter picture (3 for my site) and program this all in to be done for you.  Also another very important bug is now fixed where non English Windows users were unable to use my program due to the different location of Internet Explorer.  I have added a feature that lets you work around it.

5/14/2k

Another update for IE Quick Start is coming soon..

5/13/2k

Another bug fix for IE Quick Start this time it was a typo and newer VB runtime file..  I did a little cleanup of each of my application pages.

5/12/2k

Yesterday and today I was busy programming and I have a new version released now v1.2 of IE Quick Start, if you want to know what's new the changes are posted on the download page.  If you want to beta test future versions send me a feedback form and I will send you the information.

5/11/2k

I updated my News links.  I am working on another update for IE Quick Start, this time with drag & drop support and more.  I am also starting a mailing list so you can be informed first when I update or release software.  The mailing list is ready and you can find a link to it on any of my custom program pages.

5/10/2k

I updated the About section with some more info on this website. I also fixed that nice problem that showed up when I fixed the menu order earlier.  Major update to IE Quick Start I have received a lot of suggestions and I was able to add them all so enjoy this great new release.  I was busy all day today working on another update to IE Quick Start.  Go get it now while it's fresh, I have included all of the features that were requested. (Self Closing Exit Prompt., Cleaned up the UI )

5/09/2k

Sorry there were no updates in the last 2 days I have been busy with another VB Program.  I finished the new program I was working on  it's in the VB section of My Programs.  It's a small program that remembers up to 10 of your favorite web addresses and opens them for you (only in Internet Explorer) when you hit start.  You can choose a delay of 15 seconds between each window if you need it.  I updated my new program to support Windows NT / 2k.  I updated the program again to support Internet Explorer to be installed in any drive.  I made the enter button look better.  (at least I think so)  I changed the order of the menu on the left side to make it fit better for people with lower screen sizes. Fits best @ 1024x768.

5/07/2k

As you can see I took the news off that was more than 5 days old.  I made a few more updates to the download system plus I fixed up what I tried to do yesterday with a much better script.  I have been writing some of the code myself and it took just a little longer to find out my font was too small and I couldn't tell a { from a ( so the delays are over.  I also finished the screen shot setup that has kept me busy all week.

5/06/2k

Not much done today except I expanded the Screenshots with links to more screenshots.  Some programs have subprograms so I created a link to a popup window with the screenshot of the subprogram.

5/05/2k

I added another nice screenshot / image map which gives information on every detail for JukeBox Loader. It's made with JavaScript and has a nice look.  I still have a few more to make.  Please feel free to go and make use of the forum section.  I improved many different pages by making the coding smaller which will make the page load faster.  I also made some more updates to the screen shot / image map of JukeBox, you'll have to see it to understand.

5/04/2k

I added a nice screenshot / image map which gives information on every detail for FileRenamer. It's made with JavaScript and has a nice look.   I will create the others soon.

5/03/2k

I fixed the top logo, one of my visitors pointed out to me that it did not fit properly and i never noticed until now.  I created a new script which is in use on this site, it prevents you from screwing up by maintaining the proper Frame set, preventing people from framing my pages, and also ensuring you bookmark the correct page.  I also added another script to make sure you always start off at the front page.

5/02/2k

Well I have the Yahoo Directory completed and I think I will make the Open Directory look just like I did with the Yahoo Directory, only time will tell. Another large update today this time to the Links Section I have created a really cool Dynamic Links section that harvests links from a large search engine similar to Yahoo.  Click on links then click on Open Directory then you will see many subsections.  I fixed up the Open Directory because a few things needed better categories.

5/01/2k

A very large update to the News Section it is very nice now please take a look.  I plan to add more sections soon and some sort of different subsection layout. I also added a new online game it is an old classic: Snake Pit..  I added a no right click script and changed a few other things only minor improvements so I won't list them all.
